BR unfitted & vacuum braked wagons in colour

31 Dec

Santa brought a new book via Bill Hudson Transport Books BR unfitted & vacuum braked wagons in colour by Trevor Mann. ISBN 978 0 7110 36369. This contains many useful colour photos of common and some more rare wagons in both revenue earning and departmental use going back several decades. The captions contain useful information on conversion process and periods / areas of use along with typical liveries and will be a useful addition to avid freight modellers.

Santa brought me this too, but Im ashamed to say heavily discounted from a multinational online retailer, not a modellers book stall. Worth it from my point of view for two photgraphs alone, the Timber P is the best and clearest shot Ive ever seen of one, and secondly the side on shot of the Presflo with the Alumina branding. And teres much more besides, great book.
