Therapy, In O

25 Dec

When cutting my teeth as a modeller and starting my path towards finescale, Parkside Dundas played a big role. Their 4mm Grampus, Pipe and Rudd / Clam wagons were built by the dozen. The simplicity of their design, ease of construction and general reliability running wise made them a joy to do.

Recent modelling has needed the odd 16T mineral and box van but nothing much and none in the last few years.

It has been something of a hole in my life and so I have gleefully grasped the opportunity to build some Parkside wagons in 7mm / O gauge for the Risborough club layout, Oakhampton.

A few hours work sees the wagon built and rolling. A few more hours and it’s painted (acrylic paints are so easy and quick) and ready for transfers.

All in all a very enjoyable build.

Merry Christmas and best wishes for 2016
