Welcome Arkwright

26 Mar

I was lucky enough to buy a Hornby Peckett  and have followed the conversion method first (well to me) explained on the emgauge70s website. This involved cutting the cylinders off, adding packing and then reattaching them. After adjusting the slide bars, the loco has settled down and runs well.
To improve electrical reliability, I have added pickups and jumper wires to a 5 plank tender wagon, common for colliery locos in Ayrshire. Finally some crew (selfportrait  courtesy of ModelU) and a Digitrains Zimo sound chip and sugar cube speaker. Name plates are custom etches from Narrow Planet.
Say hello to Arkwright….
